So we see them on TV, we love them but we dint know they had other professional jobs and vocations..
lets look at 5 veteran thespians who are also lecturers
1)Peter Fatomilola
Yes the white bearded Ifa priest we all love and watch on TV is originally a lecturer of the arts at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University.
I remember watching a movie and I marvelled at his dexterity of the recitation of the Ifa Panegyrics (ese ifa and the likes)
Asides showing us all those skills on film, Pa Fatomilola also impacts on the lives of many budding actors and actresses the ropes of the trade.
He has been lecturing in practical theatre arts at the University of Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University) for more than a decade.
2)Sola Fosudo
Sola Fosudo has featured in countless movies,soaps and productions both in the Yoruba and English genre.
Despite appearances in soaps like Village headmaster,Ripples,So Wrong so Wright,Our Home and countless movies and stage Plays,Sola still admits that Lecturing is his first love and everyday JOB.
As at the time of writing this piece he is the Head Creative arts department, as well as the Public relations officer of Lagos State University (LASU).

3)Kola Oyewo
Popularly known as Mr. Naira, on Stage, Mr. Oyewo is a professional actor and thespian who also adds lecturer and teacher to the mix.
His career has spanned nearly thirty years,with acting dating back to his early years in secondary school when he joined the Oba Drama society in 1961 and later on the Oyin Odejobi theatre group &Ori Olokun Cultural theatre based at the Institute of Cultural Studies of the Obafemi Awolowo University.
I still remember his roles in Saworoide,Koseegbe Ija agba meji amongst others.He has also recently featured in more contemporary English soaps like "Burning spear" and "family Ties"
With B.sc and M.sc degrees in theatre arts,and a PhD,MR Oyewo presently lectures at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife
4) Hafiz Oyetoro (SAKA)
Hafiz Oyetoro is a comedian and theatre arts practitioner. A native of Iseyin Oyo State.
Popularly called SAKA for his stint in porting between two brands Etisalat and MTN,Saka has played more comedic roles which he has sort of become known for.
He has also been able to combine both work in the Yoruba Genre and English with several films under his belt and popular soaps like Shadows, Abelejayan and many more..
He presently lectures at the Adeniran Ogunsanya Federal College of Education,Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos State.
5)Sam Dede
Who can forget Issakaba! I can still hear the soundtrack ringing in my head Issakaba owe ah Issakaba!
Sam dede was spectacular in it! and he has been gracing our screens for years with his pure awesome acting skills and impeccable English!
No wonder acts like Hilda Dokubo and Rita Dominic have excelled in the industry because they passed through the tutelage of Sam Dede.
Sam has been scarce on the movie scene lately as he has stepped back to concentrate on script writing,directing and of course lecturing at the University of PortHarcourt.
